We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team and help keep our trucks running smoothly and trailers in working order.

Job Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of diesel trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring our vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Repair or replace defective components such as tires, brakes and etc.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs performed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Basic knowledge of diesel mechanics, preferably in a trucking or transportation environment.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and read schematics.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with overtime required as needed.
